The Hinduism religion has many holidays and celebrations. Some of these holidays and celebrations are to worship one of the gods they have in the religion and others are to renew bonds between brothers and sisters. These are some of the major holidays and celebrations.

•Kumbh Mela - pilgrimage every 12 years to four cities in India (July-August; last one 2003)
•Ganesha-Chaturthi (Ganesha Utsava) - festival of Ganesh (August-September)
•Dussehra - victory of Rama over demon king Ravana (September-October)• Diwali - festival of lights and Laksmi (September-October)
